Replaces 32W. SYLVANIA Lamps DUALescent™ LED T8 UL Type (A+B) Lamp Family Application DUALescent LED T8 Family of lamps are ideal to upgrade fluorescent fixtures whether they are T12 or T8. These lamps are an energy saving alternative, contain no mercury, and provide instant light and a uniform light distribution. Engineered to operate on existing instant start and select program rapid start electronic T8 ballasts or wired directly to line voltage, these lamps minimize labor and recycling costs. This family of lamps, when installed as Type B, should be wired in the double-ended wiring configuration; however, if the fixture has been reconfigured as single-ended, these lamps are a direct retrofit. DUALescent provides flexibility for the distributor or contractor with one lamp to satisfy either operation with a ballast or line voltage. Benefits and Features — G13 base LED T8 for use with instant start and select programmed rapid start electronic T8 ballasts or direct wire to 120-277V — Lamps operate on shunted and non-shunted lampholders thereby reducing installation costs when wired in the double-ended configuration (recommended) — Optimized glass optics with shatter resistance PET coating — No polarity; can be installed in either direction — Operated as UL Type B, DUALescent can also be used to replace T12 lamps — Suitable for use with tube guards — Suitable for dry and damp locations – not for use where directly exposed to water — For UL Type A: Compatible with the following emergency ballasts: IOTA: ISL-54, ISL-540, and I-160 — DLC listing allows for rebates in areas where applicable, saving on overall project cost — Up to 150 system LPW — CRI >80 — Offered in: 2-foot 8W, 3-foot 12W, and 4-foot 12W and 18W — Available beam angle: 200° — Light emitting angle: 320° — Energy savings up to 56% Electrical — Compatible with instant start and select programmed rapid start electronic T8 ballasts with input voltage of 120-277V — Operated as UL Type A: 0-10V dimmable with compatible 0-10V dimming ballast — Operated as UL Type B: Dimmable by pairing with LEDVANCE 0-10V dimming module (Item no. 75826 – sold separately) — Power Factor >90% — THD <20% Rated Life — 50,000 hours (L70) Warranty — 5-year limited lamp warranty (24/7 operation) — NLB Trusted Warranty Program Ambient Operating Range — -4°F to +104°F (-20°C to +40°C) Certifications and Listings — cULus 1993 & 1598C — RoHS — FCC and ICES* — Mercury free — DLC 5.1 Standard — NSF Listed: NSF/ANSI Standard 2 – Food Equipment Installation Information

Specifications |

| General Specifications | |||
Watts |
18WATTS A unit of electrical power. Lamps are rated in watts to indicate the rate at which they consume energy. This Sylvania 41657 Bulb is rated at 18 watts. |
||
Volts |
120VOLTS A measure of "electrical pressure" between two points. The higher the voltage, the more current will be pushed through a resistor connected across the points. The volt specification of an incandescent lamp is the electrical "pressure" required to drive it at its designed point. The "voltage" of a ballast (e.g. 277 V) refers to the line voltage it must be connected to. This Sylvania 41657 Bulb is rated at 120 volts. |
||
Base Type |
G13 (Medium BiPin)BASE TYPE The base is the end of the lamp that fits into the receptacle connected to the electrical supply. There are many types of bases used in lamps, screw bases being the most common for incandescent and HID lamps, while bipin bases are common for linear fluorescent lamps. This Sylvania 41657 Bulb has a base type of G13 (Medium BiPin). |
||
Bulb Type |
T-8BULB TYPE The bulb type refers to the shape and class of the bulb. This Sylvania 41657 Bulb has a base type of T-8. |
||
Rated Average Life |
50000 hrsRATED AVERAGE LIFE This is the manufacturer provided rating for the average expected life of a lamp. For most lamp types, rated lamp life is the length of time of a statistically large sample between first use and the point when 50% of the lamps have failed. Note, this is not a manufacturer guarantee of life, but an estimate based on typical average testing. It is possible to define a "useful life" of a lamp based on practical considerations involving lumen depreciation and color shift. This Sylvania 41657 Bulb has an rated average life of 50000 hours. |
||
Color Temperature |
3000 KCOLOR TEMPERATURE A measure indicating the degree of "yellowness" or "blueness" of a white light source. Measured in kelvins, Color Temperature represents the temperature an incandescent object (like a filament) must reach to mimic the color of the light emitting from the lamp. Yellowish-white ("warm") sources, like incandescent lamps, have lower color temperatures in the 2700K-3000K range; white and bluish-white ("cool") sources, such as cool white (4100K) and natural daylight (6000K), have higher color temperatures. The higher the color temperature the whiter, or bluer, the light will be. The lower the color temperature the more yellow the light will be. This Sylvania 41657 Bulb has a color temperature of 3000 K. |
||
Lumens |
2200LUMENS A measure of the luminous flux or quantity of light emitted by a source. For example, a dinner candle provides about 12 lumens. A 60-watt Soft White incandescent lamp provides about 840 lumens. This Sylvania 41657 Bulb emits 2200 lumens. |
||
Color Rendering Index (CRI) |
82COLOR RENDERING INDEX (CRI) An international system used to rate a lamp's ability to render object colors. The higher the CRI (based upon a 0-100 scale) the richer and more true colors generally appear. CRI ratings of various lamps may be compared, but a numerical comparison is only valid if the lamps are close in color temperature. CRI differences among lamps are not usually significant (visible to the eye) unless the difference is more than 3-5 points. This Sylvania 41657 Bulb is rated at 82 CRI color rendering index. |
||
Bulb Finish |
FrostedBULB FINISH The bulb coating of the bulb. Typical values include clear, frost, and colored. This Sylvania 41657 Bulb has a Frosted bulb finish. |
