Product Description |

12NC Logistics Code: 927978500130. UV-B Narrowband TL
More than 400 independent clinical studies have proven that the UVB Narrowband TL lamps are safer and more effective than any other lamps in their class. That is because these lamps emit only a very narrow waveband from the ‘B’ bandwidth of the UV spectrum (290 to 315). This narrow waveband is between 305 and 315 nm and peaks at 311 nm: the most efficacious waveband for the treatment of psoriasis. This means that treatment is much more focused and exposure times are much shorter. This in turn leads to a reduction of side effects such as reddening of the skin and itching. All of this makes them ideal for photo therapy treatment of diseases such as psoriasis and virtiligo. What’s more, because the overall dosage of this narrow band radiation can be closely controlled, these lamps are suitable for home therapy.

| General Specifications | |||
Watts |
100WATTS A unit of electrical power. Lamps are rated in watts to indicate the rate at which they consume energy. This Philips 32319-6 Bulb is rated at 100 watts. |
||
Volts |
126VOLTS A measure of "electrical pressure" between two points. The higher the voltage, the more current will be pushed through a resistor connected across the points. The volt specification of an incandescent lamp is the electrical "pressure" required to drive it at its designed point. The "voltage" of a ballast (e.g. 277 V) refers to the line voltage it must be connected to. This Philips 32319-6 Bulb is rated at 126 volts. |
||
Base Type |
RDCBASE TYPE The base is the end of the lamp that fits into the receptacle connected to the electrical supply. There are many types of bases used in lamps, screw bases being the most common for incandescent and HID lamps, while bipin bases are common for linear fluorescent lamps. This Philips 32319-6 Bulb has a base type of RDC. |
||
Bulb Type |
T-38BULB TYPE The bulb type refers to the shape and class of the bulb. This Philips 32319-6 Bulb has a base type of T-38. |
||
Rated Average Life |
1000 hrsRATED AVERAGE LIFE This is the manufacturer provided rating for the average expected life of a lamp. For most lamp types, rated lamp life is the length of time of a statistically large sample between first use and the point when 50% of the lamps have failed. Note, this is not a manufacturer guarantee of life, but an estimate based on typical average testing. It is possible to define a "useful life" of a lamp based on practical considerations involving lumen depreciation and color shift. This Philips 32319-6 Bulb has an rated average life of 1000 hours. |
