Aqualite™ Metal HalideMetal Halide Lamps for Marine Aquariums and Reef Systems The Aqualite 10,000K lamps have a high color temperature from a single point source which simulates the appearance of sunlight near the equator in ocean depths of approximately 5 meters. Aqualite 14,000K and 20,000K+ lamps simulate water color at deeper depths and with differing wavelength spikes. Coral fluorescence will be excited in some species under the enhanced blue spectrum of the 14,000K and 20,000K+ lamps. The superior spectral balance of the Aqualite lamps are ideal for lighting and environmental conditions for reef systems. This includes fish, corals, invertebrates, marine fauna and flora. At USHIO, we take the utmost care and inspection of our raw materials and maintain top standards in cleanliness during lamp production. USHIO Aqualite lamps utilize proprietary rare-earth mixtures to provide the most consistent lamp color over the entire lifetime of the lamp. Our arc tube forming process and coatings ensure that lumen depreciation levels are kept to a minimum. This is what sets USHIO apart from our competition. Available in Double Ended 75W, 150W, 250W; Single Ended 175W, 250W, 400W, 1000W with color temperatures of 10,000K, 14,000K and 20,000K+ Features & Benefits

Specifications |
| General Specifications | |||
Watts |
75WATTS A unit of electrical power. Lamps are rated in watts to indicate the rate at which they consume energy. This Ushio 5001606 Bulb is rated at 75 watts. |
Volts |
95VOLTS A measure of "electrical pressure" between two points. The higher the voltage, the more current will be pushed through a resistor connected across the points. The volt specification of an incandescent lamp is the electrical "pressure" required to drive it at its designed point. The "voltage" of a ballast (e.g. 277 V) refers to the line voltage it must be connected to. This Ushio 5001606 Bulb is rated at 95 volts. |
Base Type |
RX7sBASE TYPE The base is the end of the lamp that fits into the receptacle connected to the electrical supply. There are many types of bases used in lamps, screw bases being the most common for incandescent and HID lamps, while bipin bases are common for linear fluorescent lamps. This Ushio 5001606 Bulb has a base type of RX7s. |
Bulb Type |
T-5BULB TYPE The bulb type refers to the shape and class of the bulb. This Ushio 5001606 Bulb has a base type of T-5. |
Rated Average Life |
6000 hrsRATED AVERAGE LIFE This is the manufacturer provided rating for the average expected life of a lamp. For most lamp types, rated lamp life is the length of time of a statistically large sample between first use and the point when 50% of the lamps have failed. Note, this is not a manufacturer guarantee of life, but an estimate based on typical average testing. It is possible to define a "useful life" of a lamp based on practical considerations involving lumen depreciation and color shift. This Ushio 5001606 Bulb has an rated average life of 6000 hours. |
Color Temperature |
20000 KCOLOR TEMPERATURE A measure indicating the degree of "yellowness" or "blueness" of a white light source. Measured in kelvins, Color Temperature represents the temperature an incandescent object (like a filament) must reach to mimic the color of the light emitting from the lamp. Yellowish-white ("warm") sources, like incandescent lamps, have lower color temperatures in the 2700K-3000K range; white and bluish-white ("cool") sources, such as cool white (4100K) and natural daylight (6000K), have higher color temperatures. The higher the color temperature the whiter, or bluer, the light will be. The lower the color temperature the more yellow the light will be. This Ushio 5001606 Bulb has a color temperature of 20000 K. |
Lumens |
1700LUMENS A measure of the luminous flux or quantity of light emitted by a source. For example, a dinner candle provides about 12 lumens. A 60-watt Soft White incandescent lamp provides about 840 lumens. This Ushio 5001606 Bulb emits 1700 lumens. |
Operating Position |
H45OPERATING POSITION Mercury and High Pressure Sodium lamps may be operated in any burn position and will still maintain their rated performance specifications. Metal Halide and Low Pressure Sodium lamps, however, are optimized for performance in specific burn positions, or may be restricted to certain burn positions for safety reasons. This Ushio 5001606 Bulb has an operating position of H45. |
Bulb Finish |
ClearBULB FINISH The bulb coating of the bulb. Typical values include clear, frost, and colored. This Ushio 5001606 Bulb has a Clear bulb finish. |
