Product Description |

Uphoria™ LED MR16 LED MR16 for Use in Enclosed Fixtures Uphoria™ LED MR16 lamps incorporate the highest quality Cree LEDs, a customized optical design, and unsurpassed thermal management characteristics to provide outstanding efficiency, life, and quality. At 6.5 watts in a standard MR16 form factor, Uphoria series LED lamps incorporate a state-of-the-art Cool-Blade™ heat sink design that guarantees reliability and stability through proper thermal management.
Uphoria’s Cool-Blade technology was originally developed for the aerospace industry and the military and as a way of providing superior heat transfer for computer servers and intricate electronics that require premium thermal management in a very lightweight product. This same technology is incorporated into every Uphoria MR16 lamp where individual, high-density aluminum cooling blades draw damaging heat away from the LED’s creating an ideal operating environment for the chipsets. The thermal management is so superior that these lamps have been UL listed for use in fully enclosed fixtures. Less heat means a longer life for LED’s and USHIO is proud to stand behind its high performance Uphoria lamps with a 3-year limited warranty and a rated life of 35,000 hours.
Rated at more than 10 times the life of standard halogen MR16 lamps on the market today, Uphoria is the intelligent choice for those applications where frequency of lamp changes and cost of ownership are significant factors. Uphoria LED MR16 lamps are available in Narrow Flood (20 degree), Flood (35 degree) and Wide Flood (60 degree) beam spreads and in Warm White (3000K) or Daylight (5700K) color temperatures. FEATURES & BENEFITS
APPLICATIONS

Specifications |
||
| General Specifications | |||
Watts |
6.5WATTS A unit of electrical power. Lamps are rated in watts to indicate the rate at which they consume energy. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb is rated at 6.5 watts. |
||
Volts |
12VOLTS A measure of "electrical pressure" between two points. The higher the voltage, the more current will be pushed through a resistor connected across the points. The volt specification of an incandescent lamp is the electrical "pressure" required to drive it at its designed point. The "voltage" of a ballast (e.g. 277 V) refers to the line voltage it must be connected to. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb is rated at 12 volts. |
||
Base Type |
GU5.3 (2-Pin)BASE TYPE The base is the end of the lamp that fits into the receptacle connected to the electrical supply. There are many types of bases used in lamps, screw bases being the most common for incandescent and HID lamps, while bipin bases are common for linear fluorescent lamps. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb has a base type of GU5.3 (2-Pin). |
||
Bulb Type |
MR-16BULB TYPE The bulb type refers to the shape and class of the bulb. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb has a base type of MR-16. |
||
Rated Average Life |
35000 hrsRATED AVERAGE LIFE This is the manufacturer provided rating for the average expected life of a lamp. For most lamp types, rated lamp life is the length of time of a statistically large sample between first use and the point when 50% of the lamps have failed. Note, this is not a manufacturer guarantee of life, but an estimate based on typical average testing. It is possible to define a "useful life" of a lamp based on practical considerations involving lumen depreciation and color shift. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb has an rated average life of 35000 hours. |
||
Color Temperature |
3000 KCOLOR TEMPERATURE A measure indicating the degree of "yellowness" or "blueness" of a white light source. Measured in kelvins, Color Temperature represents the temperature an incandescent object (like a filament) must reach to mimic the color of the light emitting from the lamp. Yellowish-white ("warm") sources, like incandescent lamps, have lower color temperatures in the 2700K-3000K range; white and bluish-white ("cool") sources, such as cool white (4100K) and natural daylight (6000K), have higher color temperatures. The higher the color temperature the whiter, or bluer, the light will be. The lower the color temperature the more yellow the light will be. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb has a color temperature of 3000 K. |
||
Beam Spread |
60°BEAM SPREAD The angular dimension of the cone of light from reflectorized lamps encompassing the central part of the beam out to the angle where the intensity is 50% of maximum. The beam angle sometimes called "beam spread" is often part of the ordering code for the reflectorized lamps. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb has a beam spread of 60°. |
||
Lumens |
335LUMENS A measure of the luminous flux or quantity of light emitted by a source. For example, a dinner candle provides about 12 lumens. A 60-watt Soft White incandescent lamp provides about 840 lumens. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb emits 335 lumens. |
||
Candle Power |
300CANDLE POWER (CANDELA) The measure of luminous intensity of a source in a given direction. The term has been retained from the early days of lighting when a standard candle of a fixed size and composition was defined as producing one candela in every direction. A plot of intensity versus direction is called a candela distribution curve and is often provided for reflectorized lamps and for luminaires with a lamp operating in them. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb emits 300 candela of candle power. |
||
Color Rendering Index (CRI) |
80COLOR RENDERING INDEX (CRI) An international system used to rate a lamp's ability to render object colors. The higher the CRI (based upon a 0-100 scale) the richer and more true colors generally appear. CRI ratings of various lamps may be compared, but a numerical comparison is only valid if the lamps are close in color temperature. CRI differences among lamps are not usually significant (visible to the eye) unless the difference is more than 3-5 points. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb is rated at 80 CRI color rendering index. |
||
Operating Position |
UniversalOPERATING POSITION Mercury and High Pressure Sodium lamps may be operated in any burn position and will still maintain their rated performance specifications. Metal Halide and Low Pressure Sodium lamps, however, are optimized for performance in specific burn positions, or may be restricted to certain burn positions for safety reasons. This Ushio 1002485 Bulb has an operating position of Universal. |
